DIGITAL INNOVATION CENTRE, INTERESTING AND DYNAMIC GROWTH ENVIRONMENT FOR ICT COMPANIES AND EXPERTS
Already more than 100 ICT companies operate in the Joensuu region and employ over a thousand industry professionals. Hundreds of ICT professionals and experts graduate in the region every year from the University of Eastern Finland, Karelia University of Applied Sciences and the vocational school Riveria. Business Joensuu’s services networks make it easy and fast to relocate to Joensuu and to hire experts also from outside of Finland.
As a pioneer of the industry, the business sector focuses on areas such as remote sensing of natural resources, international software business, care management systems for health and social care, innovations in the industrial internet and the advanced development of ICT environments. The development of the ICT sector is also strongly supported by the fact that Joensuu is a leading European center of research and business in forest bioeconomy and photonics.
ICT Hub Joensuu – for companies already operating in the Joensuu region
Located at Science Park Joensuu, ICT Hub Joensuu organizes events on themes based on local ICT companies’ needs and regional potential, including:
- Current themes, such as new technologies: artificial intelligence, cyber security, etc.
- Branding and product development
- The needs of corporate management and experts in a global and changing environment
ICT Hub Joensuu will organise coaching, training and networking events and a larger annual ICT event in Joensuu with the aim of strengthening growth and networking among the companies in the sector.
The company-specific participation fee is EUR 300, which includes all the above-mentioned events and resources as well as marketing visibility and the opportunity to influence the development of ICT Hub Joensuu (until 30 September 2025). Limited availability.
